©2018 Texas Rehabilitation Counseling

"I felt broken for so many years that I forgot I could feel anything else. So what did I do? I broke myself even more. But this time, the intent was to turn this broken person into beautiful stained glass."

                                   Sophia Cannon

I am a fully certified Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor. To add to my skill set I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, under the supervision of Ashley Hence, NCC, CRC, LPC-S. I am also currently a Clinical Psychology Ph. D. Student working towards becoming licensed Clinical Psychologist. I graduated with my Master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center after receiving her undergrad at University of Texas at Arlington.

I completed my practicum and internship at UT Southwestern's Rehabilitation Counseling Clinic, where I gained experience in Supported Employment Services and Personal and Social Adjustment Training as well as actively working with counseling and assessment services. I also co-facilitated a Traumatic Brain Injury Support group. I worked at the University of North Texas Health Science Center as an Adjunct Faculty, Alzheimer's Researcher, and a Neuropsychological Testing Specialist.

I conduct Psychological assessments that provide detailed information about an individual's functional capabilities in many areas, to allow patients, doctors, parents and referring agencies, a qualitative view of an individual and of possible disorders that may be impeding success in certain areas of their home, school or social life.

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional, who also sat on the client's couch for many years, can make things better. I care about the well-being of all of my clients and aim provide all the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances.
